Description:    I'm not sure what these pretty lacy little beauty pins are made of.  It isn't warm like silver, but it's too nice to be pot metal.  It may even be steel, but I'm not sure.  In any case they are in lovely shape and perfectly matched so they would work nicely for dolly barrettes.  They are marked Krementz on the back which makes them designer.  I found one source that said the Krementz company had been making jewelry since the 1800's and another source that said the company started in 1907.  So much for history.  I have no idea when these were made, but believe that beauty or lingerie pins fell out of fashion around the 30's or 40's.  My guess is that when women's under things started containing more elastic they didn't need to pin them together so much.
