Description: My oh my! Getting to handle items like this one are reward enough for my job. This is spectacular. I believe this is a little French candy box or patch box. It's not marked, but I feel sure it's French because of all the fleur de lis designs. The truly amazing part of this little box is the enameled portrait on the top. It's so detailed and has wonderful colors. It's in great condition with no chips or cracks. It does have some minor scratches from use. The brass on this is nice and thick and the hinge is solid. Some little dolly will be very lucky to add this to her collection of special trinkets.
