Description:    This is part of an antique ladies dress suitable to use as a cutter.  I found the dress in my great grandmother's old cardboard suitcase with the garment cutter shown below and other clothes from around the turn of the century.  This dress was silk with a lace overlay, but the silk had melted.  I pulled away the silk, and saw the lace was in pretty good shape.  I'm sure it can be used for a number of dolly projects.  Garment cutter not included.

Measurements:    I would guess the dress to be about a size 3.

Note: I'm sure these things belonged to my great grandmother.  She was deaf from the age or 18 and married very late because of it.  She made her living as a dressmaker and tailor.

My Great Grandma Emmie and her sister Aunt Hattie were both tailors and dressmakers.  My great grandmother was in the profession longer because she was deaf from the age of 18 and didn't marry till her mid 30's which was quite old for the time.
