Description:    This is definitely a vintage hat, but I'm not really sure about dating it.  It's obviously hand made.  You can see the stitches on the underside.  The dealer I bought it from said it might be horse hair, but when I look closely it looks much more like it's made out of a long wound ribbon of tightly woven fine straw.  The individual fibers are very uneven and definitely look organic.  The ribbon and flowers are obviously from the 50's or earlier.  This hat would be cute on any doll or bear from the 30's, 40's or 50's.

Measurements:    It's 6.75" brim to brim, would fit a doll with an 11.5" head or a little bigger.
