Description:    This is quite a unique little barrette.  It's set with emerald green rhinestones and I'm quite certain that it's made of celluloid.  The truly unique part is the clasp.  It isn't hinged.  The bar slides out and then when the barrette is pressed against hair it slides back in trapping locks of hair between the bar and the top of the barrette.  I've never seen a barrette work this way before.
